About Commercial Our Commercial organizationleads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world.Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin’s commercialpresence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing inother regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East andAsia-Pacific. Job Summary The Head of Global Pricing for BioMarinwill lead a team of pricing experts utilizing their collectiveexpertise in pricing analytics, healthcare systems, innovativepricing models and international pricing regulations to develop andgovern Global pricing strategies. The Head of Global Pricing willwork in collaboration with our Global Access Leads, US Leads andother internal Commercial business partners and in alignment withour company's global access and corporate objectives. The selectedcandidate will support the implementation of such strategies byCountry Access Teams. The role will be crucial in driving ourmission to make life-changing therapies accessible to patientsworldwide at prices that represent their value appropriately andthat enable us to develop future groundbreaking medicines. KeyResponsibilities Develop Pricing Strategies: 1. Collaborate withGlobal Access Leads to develop and refine pricing strategies thatsupport our global access goals. 2. Ensure alignment of pricingstrategies with the overall business objectives and marketconditions. Analytics and Insights 1. Conduct in-depth pricinganalytics to understand market dynamics and competitive landscapethat allow us to set up prices for our medicines in alignment withtheir value to patients, healthcare professionals and healthcaresystems around the world. 2. Develop and implement pricing modelsto forecast and optimize pricing outcomes. 3. Monitor and analyzepricing performance to identify opportunities for improvement. 4.Develop and utilize models for IRP, tender planning and gross tonet monitoring and governance. 5. Provide input assumptions andinsights in support of launch sequence planning and businessdevelopment (BD) efforts. Governance and Compliance 1. Establishand manage pricing governance frameworks to ensure compliance withinternal policies and external regulations. 2. Implement robustprocesses to ensure pricing decisions are well-documented andauditable. 3. Work with legal and compliance teams to navigateregulatory requirements and challenges. Supporting Country AccessLeads: 1. Provide guidance and support to Country Access Leads inthe implementation of global pricing strategies, value-basedpricing and other innovative pricing models. 2. Facilitateknowledge sharing and best practice dissemination across markets.3. Ensure pricing strategies are adapted to local market conditionswhile maintaining global consistency. Stakeholder Collaboration: 1.Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders including GlobalAccess Leads, Country Access Leads, marketing teams, and seniormanagement. 2. Engage with external stakeholders such as payers,healthcare providers, and industry associations to understandmarket needs and advocate for appropriate pricing strategies.Reporting and Communication: 1. Prepare and present pricing reportsand insights to senior management and other stakeholders. 2.Communicate pricing strategies and rationales effectively acrossthe organization. Qualifications: 1. Advanced degree in Business,Economics, Finance, or a related field. 2. Proven experience inpricing strategy from either within a biotech or pharmaceuticalcompany or a consultancy supporting a biotech or pharmaceuticalcompany. 3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with theability to interpret complex data sets. 4. Excellent understandingof global market dynamics and regulatory environments. 5.Demonstrated experience in governance and compliance within apricing context. 6. Exceptional communication and stakeholdermanagement skills. 7. Ability to lead and influencecross-functional teams. Personal Attributes: 1. Strategic thinkerwith a proactive approach to problem-solving. 2. Detail-orientedand highly organized. 3. Collaborative team player with stronginterpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness. 4. Maintain team motivation and a culture ofrecognition and accountability. Workstyle - Hybrid: - Hybridrequires being on site in London, 2x each week.
