Since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors has established itself as the UK's leading residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put this into perspective, we conduct over one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ more than 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats, including Northern Ireland. Role Purposes

We’re thrilled to welcome you to our dynamic Data team! This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the development, delivery, and deployment of innovative data products that truly make a difference. You’ll play a crucial role in coordinating all workstreams, ensuring a seamless and efficient process while spearheading the Data Governance and Data Management program across the organization.

As a key leader, you’ll guide all data governance initiatives, focusing on creating and upholding an enterprise-wide data governance framework. Your adaptability and proactive approach will be invaluable in this vibrant, almost startup-like environment. Our Head of Data Product is hands-on and passionate about the project, fostering an atmosphere where workflows can thrive. Collaborating closely with the Business Lead and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders across Data, Proposition, Development, and Marketing, you’ll leverage your exceptional communication and negotiation skills to unlock the full potential of your colleagues. Main Accountabilities:

  • Assisting the Data Product Director with the daily operations of an expanding data function while contributing to the broader strategy of a key growth area.

  • Establish Data Management and Governance programmes and drive data ownership into the business.

  • Develop, lead and implement plans that will roll out the Data Management and Governance Programme within e.surv.

  • Perform gap analysis to determine initiatives and build out road maps to address identified gaps.

  • Leading a multi discipline team encompassing management information, test and business intelligence exceptional organisational and people skills are essential.

  • Day to day management of project tasks e.g. stand ups, team and external queries, sprint planning etc.

  • Ensure efficient and timely delivery of programmes.

  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

  • Create and refine delivery plans.

  • Identify and co-ordinate required resources for program execution and delivery.

  • Manage delivery backlog.

  • Create manage and maintain project documentation

  • Responsible for management of third-party contracts

    Knowledge and Expertise - (relating to specialist knowledge and expertise required to undertake the role).

    Essential:

  • Project management using Azure DevOps

  • 5+ years of experience in and understanding of concepts and frameworks pertaining to Data Management- Data Governance, Data Policy, Data Lineage, Data Models, Data Quality, Data Risk and Control Frameworks, Data Literacy, Reference Data Management, Metadata Management.

  • Data project management and Change management.

  • Agile delivery.

  • Software development and delivery (full SDLC).

  • Documentation skills.

    Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Agile framework, change delivery, program/project management.

  • Azure DevOps

  • Software development

  • Building and managing a team in fast moving startup environment
