Business Systems & Automation Analyst

  • Hybrid
  • £45,000 to £50,000
  • Permanent
  • This is a newly created role for someone who wants to have a genuine impact on how a business uses technology.
  • The focus is simple. Find better ways of doing things, use technology to remove unnecessary manual work and help the business make the most of automation and AI.
  • You will work across the business, getting under the skin of how teams operate, identifying opportunities to improve processes and then helping turn those ideas into practical solutions. It is a hands on role with plenty of variety and the opportunity to shape how the role develops.
  • A big part of the role will involve Microsoft Power Platform and workflow automation, alongside exploring how AI can be used in practical ways across the business. You will have the freedom to test ideas, introduce new approaches and see the results of your work.

What you will be doing:

  • Build and improve workflow automations, approvals, alerts and task routing
  • Use Microsoft Power Automate and Power Pages to improve business processes
  • Work with teams across the business to understand problems and identify better ways of working
  • Explore and test practical uses of AI tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude
  • Help introduce new technology and workflows in a safe and user friendly way
  • Support users and help them get the most from new solutions
  • Create clear documentation and guidance around new processes and technology
  • Use Power BI and Excel where appropriate to support reporting and business insight

What we are looking for:

  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Experience improving business processes through technology, automation or systems
  • Someone who enjoys getting into how a business works and finding opportunities to improve it
  • Confident working with both technical and non technical people
  • A structured approach to testing, implementation and documentation
  • Good awareness of security, controls and user adoption
  • Experience with Dataverse, Copilot Studio or similar technology would be useful
  • Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude in a business environment would be a bonus
  • This is a great opportunity for someone who is curious about technology and wants to do more than simply maintain existing systems.
  • You will be joining in a newly created position, giving you the chance to shape the role, influence how technology is used and take ownership of projects that can make a visible difference to the business.
