Through Ripon Farm Services, the Group supplies agricultural machinery, parts, servicing and precision technology solutions to farming businesses across Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Ripon Ground Care extends this expertise into the garden and professional turf machinery market, supporting both commercial users and homeowners with leading brands, specialist advice and comprehensive aftersales support.

The business is now entering a significant phase of transformation, investing in systems, infrastructure and organisational capability to support continued growth and operational improvement. As part of this, the Group is in the early stages of developing and embedding Business Intelligence capabilities to sit alongside its core systems, creating a strong platform for data-led decision making.
The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Business Analyst & Data Insights Specialist to establish and lead a Group-wide Business Intelligence function. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This is a unique opportunity to build a BI capability from the ground up in a business fully engaged in embedding data into its decision making and business management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Define and deliver the Group’s data and analytics strategy aligned to business priorities
- Build and scale a Business Intelligence function, including governance, tooling and team capability
- Design and deliver dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI
- Own data architecture, governance and integrity across the Group
- Identify and deliver automation opportunities across reporting and operational processes
- Work with platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Alteryx or similar
- Engage with stakeholders across the business to embed data-led decision making
Skills and Qualifications- Experience in a senior BI, Data or Analytics role
- Ideally experience of scaling or establishing a BI or data function
- Advanced Power BI capability
- Experience with modern analytics and automation platforms (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, Alteryx)
- Ability to work with complex datasets and data models
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
- Commercial mindset with ability to translate data into insight
