Position Summary:

JD.com, a leading global e-commerce company, is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to lead on the strategy and design for millions of consumers in Europe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for discovering new opportunities to improve every stage of consumers shopping journey on web and mobile app, to provide the best user experience for online shopping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all UX process activities including discovery, design sprints, sketching, wire-framing, and service/customer mapping.
  • Partner with Product Managers to understand and define customer problems and to build testable hypotheses that improve the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with different disciplines including UI designers, researchers, engineers, UX writers, service designers, product managers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to explore, build and deliver designs.
  • Work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged and design acumen is demonstrated through design end-to-end product ownership.
  • Earn trust with key partners to develop a shared vision through excellent storytelling, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional UX design experience with a recent 2+ years of leading mass-market consumer web / mobile products experience in the UK retail sector.
  • Ability to use both quantitative and qualitative insight to inform decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end iterative design process including how to develop and use design research, journey mapping, wire-framing, prototyping, and user testing to achieve human-centred design solutions.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to present skills to all levels of seniority and subject area experts within the organisation.
