Forming part of a multi-disciplinary agile team of Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Data Scientists, Senior QA Engineer and Product, you will look to work closely to the fundamental principles of continuous delivery and empowered, high-performing teams.

What will you be working on?

The goal of our Sports Modeling team is to create the most accurate predictions about sport events across a wide variety of sports to be used to create betting products for sportsbook customers. Using new and innovative modelling techniques that will drive innovation across our business including our Live Trading, PreMatch and Same Game Parlay. You will be crucial in shaping the future of our trading process, driving automation and efficiency where possible.

The role:Senior Product Manager

As the Senior Product Manager for this team, you will be embedded within our cross-functional product Delivery Team translating high level roadmaps into acceptance criteria, working with a committed and collaborative team in achieving shared product goals. As such, you will need to work transparently within our collaboration tools.

Your responsibilities will cover both the strategic and tactical aspects of Product Management. The tactical aspects of the role involve requirements scoping, definition of epic level acceptance criteria, working with the delivery team during planning and throughout product delivery. You will work with stakeholders to ensure all aspects of delivery have been accounted for.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own KPIs for the development and performance of our in-house models
  • Contribute to the overall product vision working closely with the Inplay, PreMatch, Risk Management and MultiBet (Same Game Parlay) Product Managers
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap collaborating with commercial, operational and engineering stakeholders
  • Cultivate a winning culture by creating clear requirements, KPI’s, and retrospective analysis for future improvement
  • Support the operational running of the product on a day-to-day basis via communication with traders, triage of bugs and domain knowledge
  • Produce relevant documentation to support product awareness and technical build across the organization

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience in a field related to sports modelling, quantitative analysis or trading
  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modelling applications is desirable
  • You will be experienced working with technical products and initiatives. Proven ability of developing strong functional understanding of very technical concepts via a combination of speaking with subject matter experts and self-learning.
  • You will be a great writer of requirements: The ability to articulate Business and Technology needs in the form of concise and simple requirements and acceptance criteria which ensures that the business value is being delivered.
  • You will be a confident and effective communicator: Someone who can 'speak tech' to the Business and 'speak business' to Technology. The ability to ask the right questions and understand exactly what is needed by stakeholders from your product.
  • You will be resilient: Comfortable delivering under pressure in a complex fast-paced environment, often dealing with topics which contain high levels of ambiguity. Also must be comfortable having difficult conversations with stakeholders and managing expectations.
  • You will be a fantastic problem solver: The ability to anticipate and identify problems, evaluate the causes, and then engage with the correct people to find solutions and mitigate risk.
  • You will be great at forward planning and prioritization: The ability to prioritize and plan day to day, sprint to sprint and quarter to quarter, helping to ensure that your team deliver the right things at the right time.
