Our search functionality is a key component of our strategy to enhance customer engagement and streamline their shopping journey. We are looking for a talented Senior Product Manager with a strong data science background to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis to lead and inspire our product management team.

Role Overview:
As the Senior Product Manager for Search, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of our search product strategy across Argos, Sainsbury's, Tu, and Habitat. You will work closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure that our search functionality continues to meet the needs of our customers and drives business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for creating innovative digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for search, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with other product managers to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support, to deliver high-quality search features and enhancements.
  • Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and new features.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of key initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure the success of the search functionality and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our search functionality remains competitive and innovative.

  • Proven experience in product management, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering digital products.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing and developing a team of product managers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Passion for digital innovation and a deep understanding of search algorithms and data science.
  • Experience in data science, with the ability to leverage data to drive product decisions and improvements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
