We are looking for a highly motivated Quantitative Finance Analyst to join our growing Finance team in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in shaping Fuse Energy’s Finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build the best finance systems in the world: after trying and testing practically all finance systems in the market, nothing meets our standard. We’ve decided to build the best finance management platform in the world with a select group of business partners. The scope is massive, from invoice ingestion and processing to automated reconciliation against contracts or in-house data to a real-time P&L view by customer. There will be many incredibly complex problems to solve along the way.
Financial Reporting Support: Assisting with the monthly reporting process (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-flow) to deliver financial information and identify key points for review. Responsibility and ownership of accurate balance sheet accounts and monthly reconciliations.
Account preparation and Tax functions: Identifying reporting deadlines for both UK and International entities and ensuring compliance by submitting accounts and tax returns in a timely manner.
Other: Ad-hoc assistance as required. Examples include supporting contract negotiations, modelling financial contracts, analysing new business opportunities, handling investor relations requests, producing public and private funding related deliverables, defining day to day processes and company operations.
Experience with SQL, Python, Xero (or other accounting software) and Microsoft Office is essential.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field in mandatory; advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CA, CFA) is a plus
1+ years of experience in a corporate finance function, consulting or investment banking.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors is an advantage but not essential.
Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
