Job Summary:

To actively support the growth of NTG Air & Ocean UK Ltd through a commitment to achieve its strategic objective of meeting and exceeding the budget set for the financial year. Through actively supporting the branch with the smooth running of the day-to-day operations and ensuring that all files are ready for end of month. Training and supervising of other staff members and identifying areas for improvement in operational processes and implement strategies to ensure smooth running of the operations department.

Demonstrating a committed approach to customer service, communication and relationship building with all customers, suppliers, colleagues and overseas agents combined with an emphasis on proactively looking for opportunities of growth, development and always applying efficiency to your role.

Satisfactory 5-year background checks/Eligibility to work in the UK

Previous Experience in a Freight Forwarding Operational/Management Role

Cargowise Operational Experience

Customs Entry Experience – Understanding and completion of entries and required systems

Key Tasks

Proactively support the branch manager with the day to day running of the department, including but not limited to:

Handling and management of Import and Export movements across Air, Ocean and Road.

Understand and comply with Standard Operating Procedures set out in line with customer requirements.

Monitor all current shipments including accurate booking and updating of operating system – Cargowise.

Customer Service –proactively liaise and update clients/overseas agents/suppliers as necessary.

Completion of customs entries across Air, Sea and Road via Cargowise system.

Updating customer tariffs and providing quotations, sourcing rates for full-service offerings.

File management ensuring data quality and timeliness of updates and invoicing.

Ensure compliance with all relevant customs and procedure regulations.

Operations Role

Working as part of a small, dynamic experienced team with opportunities to cover a wide range of operational activities with training provided as required.

Ability to manage your own accounts daily with support from management and colleagues.

Expectation to be multi model with ability to cover Air, Ocean and Road on both imports and exports (training will be provided for any areas unfamiliar)

Customs entries will be a part of the role, but this is not the sole function.

Ensuring that all files are ready for End of Month and managing the operators team to ensure that this is completed within time
