We are recruitng for a well known established manufacturing company in the area for a stock inventory controller

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock Accuracy Leadership: Own and drive the accuracy of all onsite finished and production stock through systematic controls and process adherence.

  • Storage Optimisation: Lead initiatives to consolidate and structure stock storage to improve traceability, minimise movement errors, and support cycle counting activities.

  • Stocktake Execution: Take a lead role in preparing and delivering accurate and well-structured stocktakes, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution of discrepancies.

  • Fastener Stock Oversight: Manage Fastener inventory across internal and external locations, ensuring timely and accurate booking-in, quality control, and data entry.

  • ERP Data Integrity: Ensure all stock movements are accurately reflected within Microsoft Dynamics AX, maintaining clean and auditable stock records.

  • Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with Quality, Logistics, and Procurement to align inventory controls with material flow and product requirements.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance stock control processes and reporting.

  • Support team members and maintain high team morale through respectful collaboration.

    Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile accurate onsite stock levels through regular stock investigations, transaction reviews, and physical checks.

  • Coordinate the receipt and quality verification of Fastener shipments from India, including inspection, documentation, and sign-off prior to system booking.

  • Liaise with external storage partners to manage Fastener stockholding and transfers, ensuring alignment between physical and system records.

  • Develop and implement improvements to stock layout and storage consolidation across production and dispatch areas.

  • Prepare, coordinate, and execute regular stocktakes, including count sheet generation, team guidance, and follow-up variance investigations.

  • Work closely with the Production and Stock Controller to ensure that all stock movements—issues, receipts, returns, and adjustments—are accurate and timely in the ERP.

  • Monitor inventory trends and reporting to highlight discrepancies or inefficiencies.

  • Contribute to training warehouse and production staff on correct stock handling and recording procedures, support continuous improvement activities focused on stock reliability and operational flow.

  • Ensure all tasks are performed in line with the company’s health, safety, and quality standards.
