As part of our expansion and growth plan we are currently looking to recruit an experienced:

FINANCE ASSISTANT

Location: Head Office Peterborough (Orton Southgate, close to A1)

Hours: Full Time – Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm

Salary: Up to £30,000 + p.a - Dependent on Experience

Holidays: 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Pension: Workplace Company Pension Scheme

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain sub-contractor database
  
  
• Agency payroll reconciliation
  
  
• Process expense claims
  
  
• Assist to prepare departmental monthly accounts
  
  
• Raising sub-contractor orders
  
  
• Valuing & checking sub-contractor orders
  
  
• Identifying, analysing and reducing company costs
  
  
• Analysis of trade creditors
  
  
• Resolving issues & dealing with queries
  
  
• Prepare payment runs, ensuring authorised on time within defined controls
  
  
• Post company credit card expenditure to the ledger
  
  
• Responsible for VAT reporting
  
  
• Performing data compliance, reconciliation & analysis
  
  Personal Specification & Qualities:
  
  
• Strong Excel skills are a pre-requisite of this role
  
  
• An understanding of the consolidation of account, payroll experience
  
  
• Commercial acumen
  
  
• High degree of accuracy and motivation
  
  
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit management team and manage numerous activities
  
  
• Flexibility - working across all areas of business
