Overview:

The Director of Business Intelligence & Customer Master is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the organization’s Business Intelligence (BI) and Customer Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. This role ensures the availability of accurate, consistent, and actionable data to drive business decisions, enhance customer experiences, and support organizational growth. The Director will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with senior leadership, and align data strategies with business objectives.


Responsibilities:


Business Intelligence (BI) Leadership

· Develop and execute the organization’s BI strategy to enable data-driven decision-making.

· Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI tools, dashboards, and reports.

· Ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely, and actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization.

· Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance.

· Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and provide tailored BI solutions.

· Stay updated on emerging BI technologies and trends to drive innovation.


Customer Master Data Management (MDM)

· Lead the development and governance of the Customer Master Data strategy to ensure a single, accurate, and unified view of customer data across the organization.

· Establish and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures for customer data.

· Partner with IT, marketing, sales, and customer service teams to integrate customer data across systems and platforms.

· Drive the implementation of MDM tools and technologies to improve data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.

· Monitor and resolve data quality issues, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).


Team Leadership & Collaboration

· Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data analysts, BI developers, and data governance professionals.

· Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

· Work closely with senior leadership to align BI and MDM initiatives with organizational goals.

· Act as a trusted advisor to business units, providing strategic guidance on data-related matters.


Data Governance & Compliance

· Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.

· Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and industry standards.

· Develop and implement data stewardship programs to promote accountability and ownership of data assets.


Technology & Innovation

· Evaluate and recommend BI and MDM tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance data capabilities.

· Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) to unlock new insights from customer data.

· Ensure seamless integration of BI and MDM solutions with existing systems and workflows.


Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

· 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

· Proven experience in Customer Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance.

· Strong knowledge of BI tools (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, SAP BW/4HANA, Tableau) and MDM platforms (e.g., SAP MDG, Salesforce CRM).

· Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.

· This role may require occasional travel to other company locations or client sites.
