Role: Data Engineering Manager

Salary: AED 50,000 – 60,000 per month (tax-free)

Location: Dubai – Hybrid

About the Role

This role is all about designing, building, and optimising data infrastructure to power analytics, AI, and product innovation. You’ll work closely with product and technology teams, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable data delivery. For senior/managerial roles, you’ll also play a key part in mentoring teams, leading end-to-end projects, and shaping culture and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses

  • Develop ETL jobs, stored procedures, and automated processes

  • Ensure robust, secure, and scalable data solutions

  • Collaborate with product, AI, and backend teams to meet business needs

  • Champion data quality, governance, and process excellence

  • Promote agile ways of working and cross-functional delivery

  • Lead teams, mentor talent, and manage end-to-end project delivery

    Key Skills:

  • 8+ years Data experience, including 2+ years of people leadership

  • Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, Spark

  • Hands-on experience with big data platforms (Databricks, Hadoop, Palantir Foundry, etc.)

  • Skilled in data modelling, design patterns, and scalable architectures

  • Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Qlik, Informatica, etc.)

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments
