Analytical Chemist

My client is a highly specialised independent analytical service provider servicing a wide range of multinational companies across all sectors within the UK and further afield. The current position has arisen for an experienced Analytical Chemist to support the service and development of varied client projects.

The role of Analytical Chemist will be involved in

  • Perform analytical testing using HPLC, GC, FTIR and wet chemistry in accordance to methods

  • Assist in developing analytical methods of analysis using modern techniques such as HPLC, IC, GC and GCMS as well as classical wet chemistry – Titrations.

  • Able to perform Wet chemistry analysis, titrations/pipetting and accurate chemical quantitative preparation.

  • Assist in design and implement experimental strategies and process chemistry evidence and conclusions.

  • Ideally provide hands on for instrument troubleshooting

  • Excellent report writing skills

  • Strong communication skills with internal and external clients

    To be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate working analytical experience and how you meet workload deadlines. You will be required to deliver work to a high quality, working efficiently and within time and be able to work without supervision. A positive approach to new methods, equipment and problem solving are required.

    The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree as an experienced analytical chemist and have a number of years working in industry solving analytical problems, developing robust analytical methods from within pharmaceutical, fine chemicals or industry working to ISO17025 accreditation.
