Are you an experienced analytical chemist looking for a technically challenging and rewarding role within a well-established environmental testing laboratory?

We’re seeking an accomplished Chemist to join a high-performing Inorganics Department within a UKAS-accredited testing facility. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of method development, support advanced analytical investigations, and play a key part in continuous improvement across quality and laboratory operations.

The Role

As in integral member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading method validation and development projects in line with ISO 17025 accreditation

  • Supporting analytical troubleshooting and non-routine investigations

  • Assisting in internal audits and maintaining compliance with quality management systems

  • Driving business improvements to reduce rework, enhance data quality, and improve client service

  • Contributing to future lab planning including instrumentation, capacity, and workflow optimisation

  • Collaborating with commercial teams on technical matters to support client relationships

    To be considered you must have:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an inorganic analytical chemistry role

  • Experience working within an ISO 17025 laboratory

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
