Senior/Lead BI Analyst

Contract: 12-month maternity cover
Location: London / Hybrid Working - 1/2x a month in office
Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits

I'm currently representing a leading UK organisation that is looking for a Business Intelligence & Visualisation Lead to join its Data & Analytics function on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a hands-on BI role where you'll take ownership of the organisation's reporting and visualisation capability, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate, user-friendly insights that support business decision-making.

You'll be responsible for:

• Designing, developing and maintainingPower BI dashboards and reports
• Building and supportingself-service analytics capabilities
• Writing strongDAX and SQL to develop reporting, views and semantic layers
• Working withAzure Databricks to support BI and reporting workloads
• Maintaining and stabilising existing analytical assets
• Ensuring data quality, accuracy and consistency across reporting
• Working within anAgile / sprint-based environment, managing your own workload against a prioritised roadmap
• Working closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions
• Presenting insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Supporting data governance, GDPR compliance and documentation standards
• Exploring opportunities to embedAI-assisted analytics into reporting workflows

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong professional experience withinBI, data analytics or reporting
• Hands-onPower BI development experience
• StrongSQL skills
• Experience working withAzure Databricks
• Experience building views and/or semantic layers to support BI reporting
• Experience translating business requirements into clear reporting solutions
• Experience working in anAgile / sprint-based delivery environment
• Understanding ofdata governance, data quality and GDPR
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of BI delivery

• Experience withMicrosoft Fabric
• An interest in usingAI tools such as Power BI Copilot or Databricks Genie
• Python experience within Databricks
• Experience usingJira
• Public sector, tourism or destination marketing experience
