Operations Analytics Lead

The Role

As the Operations Analytics & Insight Lead, you will be responsible for setting the direction of the analytics function while leading and developing a high-performing team.

You will:

• Define and deliver the data and insights strategy for the operations function.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts, creating a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Act as the senior analytics partner to leadership teams, providing insight that drives business decisions.
• Establish and maintain trusted operational KPIs, reporting frameworks, and measurement standards.
• Design and oversee analytical approaches for major transformation and optimisation initiatives.
• Translate complex business challenges into structured analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
• Drive best practice across SQL development, reporting, analytics, and data governance.
• Champion self-service reporting and scalable data solutions to improve business efficiency.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to influence strategic priorities through evidence-based decision-making.

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong experience leading a Data, Analytics, or Insights team within a commercial environment.
• Proven people management experience, including mentoring, coaching, and developing analysts.
• Advanced SQL skills and the ability to work confidently with large, complex datasets.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar.
• Strong understanding of experimentation, statistical analysis, performance measurement, and KPI development.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical findings to senior and executive stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset with a track record of using data to influence business outcomes.
• Python experience for analysis or automation would be advantageous.
