About the Role

We’re looking for a Global Data Governance Manager to lead the development and delivery of a best-in-class data governance strategy across our international business. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how data is managed, maintained, and leveraged across our network — ensuring it becomes a trusted asset that drives insight, efficiency, and confident decision-making.

Working across three core business units and our global SAP S/4HANA platform, you’ll define the standards, policies, and frameworks that underpin data excellence. This is a highly visible role, collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in data management.

Key Responsibilities

Build and Lead the Data Governance Framework
Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive global data governance framework, ensuring alignment across all business functions and systems.

Develop Data Policies and Standards
Define and enforce best-practice policies for data creation, maintenance, processing, and lifecycle management — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the organisation.

Champion Data Quality
Establish data quality metrics, monitoring processes, and remediation procedures to guarantee reliable, complete, and accurate data. Lead root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions to maintain high standards.

Drive System Integration and Performance
Oversee data flows through SAP S/4HANA and its integrated platforms (including MDG, SAP IBP, SAC, and Analysis for Office), ensuring seamless, high-quality data integration across systems.

Empower Data Ownership and Stewardship
Define clear roles and responsibilities for data owners and stewards, promoting accountability and supporting teams to manage and maintain high-quality datasets.

Collaborate with Purchasing & Supply Chain
Partner closely with Supply Chain and Purchasing teams to optimise key data objects that drive performance — enabling systems like SAP Integrated Business Planning to deliver their full value.

Monitor and Report on Data Health
Develop insightful reports and dashboards to track transactional data quality, ensuring information is current, accurate, and actionable.

Engage and Educate Stakeholders
Lead regular forums to communicate data governance principles, deliver training, and foster a strong culture of data responsibility across the business.

Champion Continuous Improvement
Review and refine the data governance framework regularly, keeping pace with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

About You

You’ll bring both strategic vision and practical know-how to the role, combining deep technical understanding with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Extensive experience in data governance, ideally within a global or multi-site environment.

Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and related data management tools (MDG, IBP, SAC).

Proven ability to collaborate, build consensus, and influence stakeholders across functions and geographies.

Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
