Data Architect

La Fosse have partnered with a fast growing PE-backed client to recruit a Data Architect. You'd be joining at a pivotal time as the current data architecture maturity level is low, so there's a really opportunity to help build out the function.

The role requires a strong foundation in data architecture, ideally with some hands-on involvement in AI/ML projects, so would be perfect for someone looking to increase their exposure in this space!

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver scalable data architectures, standards, and models
  • Translate complex requirements into robust design for research and operational use
  • Support data engineering teams with guidance, mentoring, and hands-on collaboration
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance (including regulated environments)
  • Produce architecture artefacts and ensure alignment via governance processes
  • Contribute to a library of best practices, technical standards, and patterns
  • Optimise data flows, lifecycle, and integration across platforms

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in designing modern data platforms
  • Strong understanding of data governance, cataloguing, and data lifecycle
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks or Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML driven data processing would be highly beneficial.

This is a primarily remote role, requiring very infrequent travel across Europe to the client's international offices.
