Data Architect

Data Architect — Location: Solihull - 2/3 days a week on site; Duration: 31/12/2025; Salary: £470

Generic Skills:

• 5-6 years of experience in the data space, with a focus on financial institutions or similar regulated environments
• Proficiency in risk data, financial risk, regulatory reporting, risk reporting, and finance reporting
• Leadership experience, including leading technology teams and initiatives
• Expertise in distributed databases and computing environments
• Familiarity with TOGAF methodology for architecture development
• Hands-on experience with big data processing technologies, including Spark (PySpark and SparkScala)
• Experience with data management platforms, ideally Ab Initio
• Experience with Oracle Data Warehouse
• Understanding of APIs and their integration with data systems
• Experience working across multiple teams and on a variety of projects simultaneously

• TOGAF Practitioner certification
• ITIL certification
• Proficiency in Dremio virtualization platform
• Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI
• Proficiency in analytics platforms like SaaS and Python
• Experience with Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
• Offering technical architectural expertise, guidance, and assistance in executing the strategy across data projects within programs and initiatives
• Designing architecture and solutions to meet the business's 2025 plan, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
