Data Engineer - Dartford - Hybrid (3 Days) - Up to £50,000
We are working in partnership with a well-established international technology business that delivers cutting-edge solutions to commercial and industrial markets across the globe. As part of its ongoing investment in digital transformation and data innovation, the company is looking to appoint a Data Engineer to join its growing internal IT function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven professional to play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the organisation's data and Business Intelligence capabilities. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines, optimising data processes as well as ensuring high- is available to support strategic decision-making across the business.
Working closely with stakeholders from multiple departments, you'll help design scalable data solutions, improve reporting capabilities and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the company's data landscape. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full data life cycle and is passionate about turning complex data into valuable business insights.
The Role
- Design, develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines and integration solutions.
- Build and optimise data models to support reporting, analytics and business performance tracking.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective, scalable data solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, governance and quality across the BI environment.
- Support the continued enhancement of reporting and analytics platforms.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, data processes and architecture standards.
Required Experience
- Experience in a Data Engineer, BI Engineer or Data & Analytics role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience of designing and supporting ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Knowledge of Python for data processing, automation or analytics.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and reporting best practices.
- Experience integrating and managing data from multiple sources and business-critical systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
