Job Details: Enterprise Data Governance &Architecture Lead Job Title: Enterprise Data Governance &Architecture Lead Reports to: Head of Technology Data, Architecture& Technology Strategy Department: Technology Location:Leeds/Manchester/Bristol/Glasgow DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The DataPlatform team is a key component of C4’s Technology organizationthat provides an enriched and valuable ecosystem of data platformand data services that drive innovation for our partners andclients, within C4. Data is the most valuable asset in C4. The DataPlatform Department is dedicated to developing advanced technology(e.g. Cloud, Machine Learning and Big Data), systems and servicesto make data secure, high quality, rich, fast, and easy to use,enabling C4 to leverage its data asset effectively and timely tomaximize technology/business development and differentiate C4 fromothers in the Broadcast and Media industry. JOB PURPOSE Your roleas Data Governance & Architecture Lead in the DATS Team is toact as one of the key technology contributors to build, govern, andmanage C4’s data and technology assets in the Data Platform. Youwill be a crucial part of defining and delivering the Data Strategyfor C4. This individual will act as a trusted technical advisor andstrategic thought leader to the Data & Analytics department.The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating challengingforces in the dynamic Broadcast space, especially in big data anddata platform areas, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environmentwith significant changes; developing/implementing strategies andprocesses that enable the organization to innovate and grow fast.You will have the opportunity to lead, participate, guide, andmentor other people in the team on architecture and design in ahands-on manner. You are responsible for the strategic andtechnical direction of C4 Data Platform Strategy & Governance.You will develop/manage a company-wide Data Governance strategy tomanage the information life cycle effectively. Assist with settingup of Data Governance Council, winning buy-in from SeniorManagement. Develop/Drive governance strategy working directly withsenior management and teams to ensure alignment with the overallobjectives. Write standards and policies for Data Governance. KEYRESPONSIBILITIES - Provide Architectural leadership and vision forC4’s Data Platform and Data Lake. Develop and maintainarchitectural roadmap for data products and data services, ensuringalignment with business and enterprise architecture strategies andstandards. - Provide leadership and guidance on design andmanagement of data for data applications, formulate best practicesand organize processes for data management, governance, andevolution. - Contribute to the DP strategies and roadmapdevelopment to meet business objectives with existing or emergingtechnologies. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS - Experience insenior Data governance & Architecture positions, ideally basedin a high-paced and empowered environment. - Hands-on experience inimplementing an enterprise data governance program and Master DataManagement (MDM) solution. - Strong project leadership andmanagement skills to lead organizational change to effectively meetstrategic and tactical goals. - Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills to present to a target audience. -Detail-oriented/articulate with strong time management andorganizational skills. - Proven management/supervisory experience.- Experienced in Agile Project/Portfolio Management tools e.g.Azure DevOps, Jira, etc. - Experienced using facilitationtechniques, Design Thinking techniques, coaching, and learningframeworks. - Experienced in engineering practices like ContinuousIntegration and Continuous Delivery. - Experienced in multi-vendordelivery teams. Hybrid Working From September 2023 employees willbe working a minimum of 3 days per week in their office location.The other 2 days should be working from home. This is to createmore time for collaboration, creativity, learning, and feedback. Wealso have a working from another location policy for up to 10 days.This pattern is subject to future changes which would becommunicated in advance to provide employees with adequate noticeof any change.
