Our client, an established entity in the technology sector, is seeking a qualified Systems Accountant for a contract position, the office is based in Richmond or can be fully remote. This vital role supports a key finance transformation project, involving system migration work and ensuring data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the migration of financial data from a legacy system into NetSuite
Reconcile opening balances and investigate discrepancies
Clean, validate, and restructure historical financial data
Map and align chart of accounts between old and new systems
Collaborate with finance, IT, and project teams to ensure a smooth transition
Provide post-migration support, including reconciliations and integrity checks
Assist in process improvements and documentation during the transformation

Job Requirements:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
Proven experience in system migrations, particularly finance systems
Proficiency with NetSuite is essential
Knowledge of Opera accounting software is a strong bonus
Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data cleansing)
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
