Sustainability Data Analyst

Location: This position is hybrid, and can be based in Manchester, Stoke-On-Trent, Peterborough or Tunbridge Wells

Salary: £32,000 - £37,000

Markerstudy Group is seeking an individual to join our growing sustainability team. In this role you will report directly to the Group Head of Sustainable Business Strategy and work closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer, and sustainability team, to drive sustainability initiatives across the organisation. You will play a pivotal role in data collection, analysis and project management contributing to the group’s overall sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis – Implementing robust data collection processes, develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports for:

Group Carbon Footprint

Sustainable Supply Chain Programme

External reporting requirements

Performance Monitoring – Provide insights and analysis to drive success against group targets.

Sustainable Supply Chain

Internal/external sustainability KPIs

Identifying and Leading Projects – Utilising the available data and with knowledge of the group’s ambition you will have the opportunity to develop and lead meaningful sustainability projects across the group and engaging senior stakeholders.

Interpreting reports and trends to form suggestions for projects

Taking a lead role in delivering projects and campaigns

Support Net Zero Champions and Working Groups

Become an active member and champion of our working groups and volunteering initiatives

Skills/Experience Required:

Genuine interest in sustainability

General understanding of current reporting requirements and voluntary submissions

Experience in data collection, analysis and reporting

Strong evaluation skills

Strong communicator and ability to build excellent relationships

Desired:

Project management experience

Exposure to procurement or supply chain departments

Technical background

1st stage - 30-minute MS teams interview with the hiring manager

2nd stage - 45-minute MS teams interview with stakeholders
