Location: Hull, HU7 0AE or surrounding areas as role is predominantly office based

Salary: Up to £40,000

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday

About the role:

You'll play a pivotal role in managing and improving the company's Development Team, covering Sage 200 bespoke addons, mobile apps, business intelligence tools, and database applications. Development of existing products to get them ready for market. Mentor developers (onshore and offshore), ensure development best practices, and contribute to solution architecture while overseeing the software development lifecycle. This dynamic position is perfect for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact on the company's growth.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the development team to deliver innovative and secure IT solutions
Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and software delivery
Team development + training
Product ownership
Maintain relevant documentation to describe logic, coding/configuration, testing and changes where applicable.
Continuously strive to make improvements to the existing applications and/or systems, services and processes.
Seek out and act upon feedback.
Ensure all development is completed to the required quality standards and provide benefit to the business and its customers
Keep up to date with relevant technology areas
Reporting to management teamPreferred Requirements:

Familiarity with SQL Server, including query writing and troubleshooting.
Trouble shooting and/or problem-solving skills
Exposure to business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
Knowledge of ERP systems like Sage 200
Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
Analytical mindset with a passion for learning.
Effective communicator and influencer with good relationship management skills
