We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Service Charge Manager to oversee the effective management of rent and service charge processes within a housing finance function. This is a key position responsible for delivering compliance, transparency, and efficiency in service charge operations across a variety of property tenures.

Salary: up to £43,186p/a
Location: Eastleigh
Hybrid Working: 3 days a week in the office
Comprehensive benefits packageKey Responsibilities:

Lead on setting and reviewing annual rents and service charges
Manage the full-service charge reconciliation process, ensuring all recoverable expenditure is captured accurately
Maintain up-to-date processes in line with legal, governance and regulatory requirements
Oversee the integration of new service charge software and support ongoing systems improvements
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure data integrity across systems
Analyse and report on service charge and maintenance expenditure
Publish annual timetables and KPIs to drive transparency and accountability
Act as the primary contact for queries relating to service charges, including from residents, local authorities and internal teams
Represent the organisation in resident meetings and external forums where required
Line manage and support the development of service charge team members
Support continuous improvement and customer-first culture across the housing finance functionSkills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

Strong experience managing rent and service charge operations in a housing or property management environment
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985 and Section 20 requirements
Proven experience of staff management and process improvement
Skilled in using financial systems and confident working with large data sets
Proficient in MS Excel and Word (advanced level)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with residents, colleagues, and external partners
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Able to work independently under pressure and manage competing priorities
Experience in producing KPIs and service charge-related reporting
Full driving licence or ability to travel efficiently where requiredHow to Apply:
