The role:

The Accruals Manager is a pivotal role within ZTP. It requires the person to get stuck in and help us grow the company to meet our ambitious goals. The Accruals Manager will work in the the Client Finance team who provide the finance services to our clients. They will ensure ZTP delivers accurate financial reporting to our clients on a regular and consistent basis using our market-leading in-house systems. This managerial position requires an innovative approach to financial reporting and cost forecasting, with the candidate being instrumental in driving the team's success and meeting the company's objectives.

This role sits within the Client Management Team, responsible for servicing ZTP’s multi-site corporate clients. With sites all over the UK, our clients require a high level of service to help them reach their goals and address any issues that arise on their accounts from day to day. The candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the team to provide this exceptional level of service and contribute significantly to the achievement of our clients' objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

*Navigate through ZTP training program modules, ensuring a solid foundation in energy procurement and management, crucial for overseeing major clients.

*Master software platforms from both a client-facing and internal management perspective, enhancing overall operational efficiency.

*Lead the creation of period cost and accrual reports for ZTP clients, incorporating factors like property changes, COTs, and addressing any discrepancies.

*Work alongside the Treasury team in ensuring the client facing system and the accounting systems are in alignment.

*Take charge of developing budgets for ZTP clients, demonstrating strategic financial planning capabilities.

*Execute system reports meticulously, ensuring data integrity and completeness, while efficiently organizing workloads to meet reporting deadlines and exceed client expectations.

*Design and implement customized reports, elevating data accuracy and operational efficiency, and present period numbers and movement explanations to clients virtually and in person.

*Lead the development and maintenance of streamlined processes and procedures for the role, exemplifying leadership in operational excellence.

*Play a pivotal role in the seamless onboarding of new clients to accruals and budget services, demonstrating managerial acumen and client-focused leadership.

*Elevate customer service and satisfaction levels, actively measuring and implementing improvements in a managerial capacity.

*Be a part of driving a culture of continuous improvement across systems and reporting, aiming to position our offerings at the forefront of the market.

*Showcase adeptness in liaising across internal teams, ensuring cohesive collaboration to fulfil accrual and budget requirements with a strong managerial focus.

*Lead the team through coaching and mentoring and manage performance accordingly.

Key Skills and Competentcies:

*Knowledge/experience of cost charging/accrual generation and financial reporting essential

*Experience of inter company allocations

*High level of competency with Microsoft 365 Office applications including Teams, Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel.

Experience Required:

Please note: Only candidates with prior experience in the energy industry will be considered for this role.

*5 Years' Experience in the Energy Industry

*Budgeting and Forecasting

*Experience in managing multiple workloads and stakeholders

Education and Qualification Requirements:

*GCSE’s
*A-Levels
*Accountancy qualification (part qualified)
