Where you’ll work

At OVO, we understand that a one size fits all approach doesn’t work for everyone. That’s why we created the OVO Way of Flexibility.

All our roles are hub based (Bristol, Glasgow or London), providing a dedicated space for collaboration, connection and teamwork. You’ll also have the flexibility to work from home.

Our preference is that your hub would be London, due to the Head of People Strategy and Head of Reward primarily working from this hub. The OVO Way of Flexibility suggests 1+ days in the office per week.

As a member of the People team you will be the custodian of People data and work with the whole People team to own the creation and delivery of the People Analytics strategy and roadmap. This will include developing business processes via PowerBI and Workday to enhance the Metrics and Insight offering for People Data to make a difference to the business.


This role in a nutshell:

Your main responsibilities will be working within the People Strategy & Culture team to deliver Analytics and Insights on People data, alongside identifying and making recommendations on how to improve data integrity.


Your key outcomes will be:

Creation and delivery of the People Analytics strategy and roadmap Working with the whole People Team to develop and improve PowerBI dashboards as per business requirements Prioritising workloads and requirements from the whole People team to support the business Undertake BAU reporting using PowerBI and Workday as the primary reporting tools whilst maintaining the Workday reporting suite Educate the wider teams and ensure the People Team are able to self-enable their data and MI requirements in PowerBI Establish and owning key data mapping between legacy systems and Workday Deliver and maintain the People Team’s reporting suite for ad-hoc, regular, and legislative reporting adhering to GDPR rules and regulations Regularly audit and measure the integrity of our data to ensure it remains complete and accurate, identifying and improving any areas for concern Support other data led projects across Workday and other HR tools, systems and processes Ability to support Workday reporting, dashboards and workbooks Provide support to People functions such as Reward, Payroll, IT with their reporting requirements. using a generalist understanding of end to end processes in HR Ensuring Workday releases and upgrades are deployed successfully, supporting the configuration teams with UAT testing and audit requirements Keep up to date with new Workday and PowerBI enhancements via the Communities to ensure we are leveraging the latest functionality Proactively build relationships and positivity with others, working effectively to achieve the best outcome ensuring the needs and perspectives of others are considered

Systems & Technical:

Strong capabilities in PowerBI with ability to build and update dashboards  Experience in HR business areas, particularly as a Reward Analyst with salary benchmarking experience and gender and diversity gap reporting experience Experience in People Analytics and complex reporting and insights delivery Experience in Workday report writing, dashboards, workbooks and Workday HCM Good understanding of Calculated Fields and Security in Workday Experience with Data Mapping activities between various systems Experience working with other HR systems (Learning Management etc) IT & IT Systems literate (Google Suite, Microsoft) Analytical and numerate

Personal & Communications:

Strong verbal communications to be able to partner with the business  Team Player with a proven track record of operating well in a team environment Able to transpose data into a story for non-technical people to understand Commercial understanding of a business and how data insight to drive change Creative and positive, wanting to use data to drive change Well organised with the ability to work on own initiative to specific deadlines Always thinking about the customer and the end goal, wanting data to be the enabler and not the outcome Determination to get our data clean and accurate Exceptional attention to detail Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships across communities  Challenging processes and managing stakeholders to continually improve outputs Confident facilitating and presenting

We’ll pay you between £50,000 and £60,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. 

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
