Your Role

As part of the huge growth in demand in our Energy Transition & Utilities practice, we are seeking to recruit Senior Managers to join our highly talented team, working on the pursuit and delivery of major advisory, consulting, and digital transformation services within the Oil & Gas industry.

Our Oil & Gas industry clients include integrated energy companies; upstream, midstream, and downstream sector focused companies; national oil companies; as well as industry equipment and service provider companies.

Leveraging our industry experience, strong strategic and business improvement skillset and deep understanding of technology, as well as Capgemini’s wider IT, application management and engineering capabilities, we deliver leading edge consulting services and solutions for our clients, ranging from Net Zero & Sustainability; Digital Strategy & Transformation; Operations Optimisation; IoT, Analytics & Asset Management; Retail & e-Mobility Transformation; Technology Transformation & Modernisation; and New Business IT Operationalisation. No matter the client or project, your work will help solve both real world issues whilst also helping shape sustainable, future-ready solutions.

As a Senior Manager in the business, you will be instrumental in nurturing and developing client relationships; managing successful client project delivery; and developing teams and people. Your role will include the following:

  • Help clients to understand the rationale and business case for change and transformation, leveraging insights on industry change drivers and the capabilities offered by technology, digital and AI / analytics.
  • Oversee client delivery workstreams, projects and programmes, leading the team to create impactful deliverables and deliver tangible results and client business benefits.
  • Manage client stakeholder relationships and expectations, fostering collaboration and trust in Capgemini brand.
  • Apply agile ways of working and adhere to best principles of delivery to optimize project delivery performance and outcomes.
  • Manage workstream, project and / or programme team resources, performance, wellbeing, and development, fostering team engagement and successful delivery.

  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Your Profile

We are looking for candidates with a proven consulting track record of delivering value in their career to date and who enjoy working collaboratively with clients and have a passion for developing people. We would love to meet someone with:

  • Sector Understanding - experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with an understanding of the Oil & Gas value chain and how it needs to change to meet the challenges of the energy transition.
  • Consulting Experience - Experience of working in a major business or technology consulting firm, and/or in industry but with a consulting background.
  • Adaptability and Learning Mindset - Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and industry developments.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in report writing, presenting findings, and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Project / Workstream Management - Experience in leading and managing projects or workstreams, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership Qualities - Ability to mentor and develop teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Capacity to inspire trust and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

You will bring subject matter experience, expertise, and intellectual capital from across a broad range of advisory, consulting and transformation services in the Oil & Gas sector, for example:

  • Corporate strategy, business planning and economics, and business performance management.
  • Climate change and sustainability, such as emissions quantification and reporting, emissions management and reduction.
  • Business operating model design, restructuring and performance improvement.
  • Business and technology transformation programme delivery, across areas such as capital projects, production operations, asset management, transportation and distribution, retail and customer management, business support and function management.
  • Digital trends, such as Scada, IoT, modular engineering, digital twin and BIM, mobile applications, automation, advanced analytics and Gen AI, energy management, EVs etc.
  • Design and deployment of digital transformation solutions and services.
