Remote Senior Data Engineer - Outside IR35 - Palantir Foundry


  • Fully Remote in UK
  • Multiple Openings
  • Freelance Contract - Outside IR35
  • Initial 6-months + Extensions (multi-year project)
  • Up To £450 Per Day (depending on experience)


We are working with a major insurance provider to build a new project team that will leverage Palantir Foundry to turn high-volume data into complex, high-value products and real-time analytics on a global scale.


This is ideal for mid- to senior-level engineers with hands-on experience working with Palantir Foundry, ideally with a background in the insurance domain (Life, Health, Home, Compensation).


What you’ll do...

  • Design, build, and own Palantir Foundry data pipelines end-to-end.
  • Write production-grade Python, PySpark, and SQL for ELT on large distributed datasets.
  • Implement warehousing patterns with strong data quality checks and lineage.
  • Translate insurance requirements into robust data products via Foundry Ontology.
  • Diagnose pipeline issues and document workflows for repeatability.
  • Collaborate in Scrum with analysts, SMEs, and engineers to deliver.


What we’re looking for...

  • Strong experience in data engineering for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Hands-on development experience with Palantir Foundry - this is a must
  • Deep PySpark + Spark SQL skills
  • Strong ELT/warehouse fundamentals and CI/CD mindset.
  • Comfortable in Agile teams; clear communicator who owns outcomes.
  • BONUS; experience in the insurance or financial services domain
