About the role
We are seeking a motivated and highly enthusiastic individual looking for an exciting chance to join Flight Centre Travel Group as a Senior BI Analyst. In this business critical role, you will be using the latest methodologies and tech in the BI space and participate on the enhancement of a global BI solution. Using Power BI you will be developing and designing Business Intelligence reporting based on data delivered through Hive tables and databases. You will be well versed in SQL, experienced in scoping/designing of data marts for BI consumption preferably with Power BI shared datasets and assisting with other ad-hoc reporting.
A high level of experience in transforming business requirements into reusable tabular data models is essential for success in this role. Experience as a dedicated data modeller would be highly regarded.
Skills required:
BI Tool:
Develop insightful and useful reports for TTG using Power BI, SSMS, Databricks notebooks and MS Visual Studio Use SSMS, Python, Spark SQL, Data Factory, Data Bricks and Event Hubs in the Azure stack to digest and disburse data
SQL:
Develop tabular models for use in shared Power BI datasets Show recent querying experience Modern Data Warehousing techniques
Other Requirements:
Min 2 years’ experience as a Power BI developer or Data Modeler In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing and modern data warehousing / Lakehouse Ability to identify commercial opportunities and present and sell these to internal and external stakeholders High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, pressure and deadlines in an Agile (Scrum) environment Excellent verbal and written communication skill with a focus on customer service
