The T Rowe Price Fixed Income Technology team, operating within the Front Office Investments Technology department, is looking for an experienced analyst to partner with our business stakeholders and engineering teams to build out the next generation of cloud-first investment management tooling. The role will be tasked with the development of a new vendor integrations aimed at Fixed Income Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs).

Collaborating across multiple investment and technology teams, you will:

  1. Understand the holistic needs of stakeholders and propose innovative technology solutions to drive business outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with Engineering Teams to build a product roadmap, ensure product features align to the long-term strategic needs of stakeholders.
  3. Be regarded as the go-to Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Fixed Income portfolio management within the technology division.
  4. Design data architecture workflow for SMA and CLO platform integrations.

This role is an evolution of the traditional BA role, with emphasis placed on mixing subject matter expertise with an engineering mindset.

Core Competencies and Responsibilities:

  1. Own the entire Fixed Income product lifecycle integration, develop, communicate, and execute the vision, strategy, and product roadmap.
  2. Ability to effectively apply business analysis skills to map out and document end-to-end business workflows across different user groups using industry-standard best practices and tooling.
  3. Understand Investment fixed income product strategy and ensure alignment across design, data, and engineering.
  4. Establish product KPI's to measure and improve both the user experience and the development process.
  5. Collaborate with strategic data/vendor providers to coordinate the sequence of deliveries across the Taxable Fixed Income SMA and CLO programs.
  6. Drive application development and implementation through using business and technical knowledge to resolve blockers, through championing innovative and practical solutions.
  7. Act with a lean-agile mindset to ensure organizational agility.
  8. Proactively identify, lead, and help to influence discussions with the business to help solve a business problem, including various trade-offs and recommended approach.


Required Qualifications/Experience:

  1. Subject Matter Expertise in Fixed Income & Investment workflows.
  2. Trading workflows and lifecycle of a trade, Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems.
  3. Experience with Fixed Income products, derivatives, and analytics within an Asset Management firm.
  4. Systems analysis or experience working with and analyzing data for Front Office functions.
  5. Experience with project analysis and planning (e.g., user story mapping).
  6. General knowledge and awareness of macro financial markets and more specifically, the Asset Management industry.
  7. Solid data analysis skills - SQL database queries, Excel/Access file manipulation, Jupyter notebooks.


Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  1. Working knowledge of Charles River Investment Management Solutions.
  2. Working knowledge of Archer Investment Manager Services.
  3. Working knowledge of Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and/or Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) would be highly valued.
