About this job

This role involves solving Data Engineering problems to allow GP and other external healthcare personal access to the analytical power of the EMIS-X Analytics platform. Our main stack involves Python, SQL, Typescript and more, all hosted in AWS. Expect to spend majority their time working with front-end developers to help develop and improve our software, to provide a better experience to our healthcare users.

We’re currently looking to recruit a brilliant Senior Software Development Engineer to help us deliver the best products within the healthtech industry.

Building back end components to connect databases and UIs Writing reusable and testable code Reviewing the code of other team members Debugging issues with the existing product Helping the team achieve its product delivery goals Collaborate with the wider business to establish common practices Test latest technology using Python, SQL, AWS, Airflow and more

Knowledge, Skills and Experience (What you will KNOW or LEARN)

These are the skills and experience you’ll need to set yourself up for success in this role, however we’d still love to talk to you even if you don’t tick all of them:

Degree in Computer Science or similar or equivalent relevant experience Experience of coding in Java/Python is essential for this role. Any experience building APIs and AWS would be highly beneficial, as would any knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Trino, Hadoop or Pyspark. Able to demonstrate your desire to work within technology, we're eager to see how you improve your skills outside of work
