About the Role

This is an opportunity for you to lead the Commercial team at Synamedia for our recently launched cloud platform Senza which revolutionises content delivery, enabling new revenue generating opportunities for our clients with the ability to turn every screen into a connected TV.

Synamedia develops TV and OTT software solutions for some of the biggest television operators around the world covering video, security, and advertising. We launched Senza in September 2024, and are looking to recruit a seasoned business development/sales leader to develop our business and increase our presence globally.

Reporting to the MCS VP of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for managing a product aligned sales team with dotted lines into product management and product marketing covering the globe. The role involves team management and individual accountability as a “player coach”. You will have experience working in a hybrid environment and working with a team with either direct or dotted line reports, building a culture of collaboration and accountability. You will be comfortable working with cross functional teams, internal channels and work as a partner with product leadership towards mutual success.


Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Develop and execute the global sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Build, grow and lead a high performing sales team with input into recruitment, training and development
  • Establish clear sales goals, KPI’s and accountability measures in conjunction with the VP of Sales and Marketing


Market & Client Strategy

  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities in content delivery globally, across operators, broadcasters, D2C streamers and hospitality
  • Establish mature relationships with key decision makers at target organizations
  • Create tailored strategies and proposals, presentations for enterprise level sales opportunities
  • Work in partnership with product leadership to ensure direction, proposition and product fit for the existing and future needs of our clients


Be a Voice and Build the Brand

  • Be a strong internal and external voice of Synamedia in relation to Senza
  • Sit on panels, attend events and give direction to marketing for collateral, events and social media which maximise demand and pipeline generation


Sales Execution

  • Drive new business acquisition through strategic prospecting and relationship building
  • Present Synamedia company overview, vision and product to existing and future clients
  • Lean into contract negotiations for Senza and give pricing and commercial direction in submission
  • Work with management and leadership on internal deal management processes including reviews and pipeline reporting and forecasting
  • Monitor sales performance, forecasting and provide reporting to VP of Sales and Marketing for Senza product lines
  • Be an example in the use of CRM and ensuring accountability across the sales team for KPI and goal monitoring

  • Fiscal year revenue goals across growth and achievement
  • Client acquisition and market/vertical entry with ability to win new logos
  • Sales team performance and management



Skills Required

Industry Experience

  • 10 years’+ experience of commercial leadership in content and video delivery
  • Proven track record of closing large complex deals with media organizations


Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of video and advertising technology ecosystems
  • Ability to translate product features into business value


Team Leadership

  • Ability and experience to inspire a team that either works directly, dotted line or in partnership with
  • Prove experience in managing and growing sales teams


Strategic Thinker

  • Ability to analyse market data, trends and voices as well as clients’ needs to inform and help direct sales and product strategies
  • Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset


Communication and Negotiation

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skillset
  • Expertise in negotiation complex contracts and partnerships
