This position offers a hybrid work model, with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.


As a member of the Quantitative Investment Sciences (QIS) team, the researcher will develop and implement quantitative models and analyses for private equity co-investment opportunities. Responsibilities include supporting investment diligence, pipeline monitoring, portfolio construction, and providing insights for client engagements and fundraising, utilizing large proprietary datasets and statistical models.


This role is ideal for someone passionate about applying quantitative research, ML/AI, and data science to private markets investing and risk management, within a diverse and growing team.

Responsibilities:
Conducting quantitative/statistical analysis of private markets and investment opportunities (80%)


  • Lead analysis of proprietary datasets and models to evaluate market risk/return and inform investment decisions.
  • Perform data exploration and visualization to test hypotheses.
  • Communicate results and insights effectively to the investment team.
  • Support integration of QIS models with fundamental deal analysis.
  • Apply new AI/ML models and techniques to improve investment processes.


Responding to ad-hoc analysis requests (20%)


  • Assist client-facing teams with analysis and client inquiries.


Qualifications:


  • Experience in quantitative equity, with knowledge of financial modeling preferred.
  • Private markets experience not mandatory.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python (including libraries) and SQL.
  • Independent research experience preferred.


Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BSc) required; master’s or Ph.D. preferred.


Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years in a quantitative finance role.
