Head Resourcing are looking for a QA engineer for a data analytics and market insight company. The role is based in Dundee around 6 days minimum per month and pays between £40,000 - £45,000. The role unfortunately does not offer sponsorship.

With the company growing rapidly this role will suit someone who is ambitious, willing to take initiative and make themselves a key member of the team. We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude to join us on our growth journey. This role is ideal for someone who has predominantly worked in manual testing but does have some exposure to automation technologies such as Playwright or Selenium.

Key Accountabilities

Design and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and acceptance criteria.
Develop and maintain regression testing packs to ensure consistent product quality.
Identify opportunities for test automation and lead the implementation of automated test scripts.
Collaborate with developers and product owners to define and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
Perform diagnostic and system testing, and report findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
Maintain high-quality test data and document test results thoroughly to aid in debugging and future coverage.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Continuously assess and improve QA processes in line with Agile best practices.
Adherence to all governance requirements and resolution of all risk and compliance action items within stipulated timeframes

Key Skills

Minimum of 3 years' experience in software testing (manual or automated).
Some experience with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments
