Our client, a prominent player in the technology sector, is currently seeking a Product Owner for a contract position. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between IT development groups and business units, ensuring the successful development and enhancement of systems. In this capacity, you will evaluate new applications, manage system requirements, and implement cutting-edge solutions to meet evolving business needs.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between IT development and business units for system development and enhancement.
  • Evaluate new applications and recommend appropriate solutions based on business needs.
  • Utilise specialised knowledge to solve complex problems and direct daily activities of support teams.
  • Establish priorities for task completion and develop best practices.
  • Direct resources, prioritise tasks, and guide less experienced team members.
  • Serve as an Agile product owner, ensuring software development aligns with customer needs.
  • Drive analysis and verification to determine data requirements and quality criteria.
  • Coordinate efforts with staff, vendors, and customers to design data architecture solutions.
  • Support the definition of roadmaps and change portfolios reflecting business strategy.
  • Develop processes, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
  • Deliver customised reports and recommendations for business decisions and customer reporting.
  • Establish strong relationships with teams across the business.



Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or significant experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager.
  • Scrum Product Owner certification preferred.
  • Sound judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex ideas across departments.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and maintain high standards.
  • Expertise in understanding and leveraging new technologies quickly.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to facilitate change delivery.
  • High emotional intelligence with solid interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
