Product Director for Weather Data and Forecasting,

you'll lead the charge in developing and executing product strategies that drive innovation and growth in the renewable energy sector. You'll oversee a portfolio of cutting-edge products, including Solcast, Wind Power Forecasts, and Electricity Load Forecasts, collaborating with a world-class team to deliver exceptional value to our customers. is a business-focused leader who owns the product strategy and vision for our Weather Data and Forecasting portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will be responsible for delivering business outcomes from a suite of products that are instrumental in optimizing renewable energy generation and grid integration. You will lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery, and drive product growth by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.This position will be based in one of our North America DNV offices, following our hybrid work model. Locations can be Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Okemos, MI; Chalfont, PA; and other locations listed.What You'll DoDefine and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for weather data and forecasting products, ensuring alignment with market needs and DNV's overall business objectives.Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and discovery to launch and iteration, collaborating effectively with engineering, design, and data science teams.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product performance, ensuring products meet revenue targets, profitability goals, and customer satisfaction metrics.Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies, incorporating insights into product strategy and development.Collaborate with Stakeholders: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across different departments, including sales, marketing, and technology, to ensure successful product development and launch.You will be leading a dynamic and passionate product team dedicated to developing and delivering innovative renewable energy solutions. The team comprises Technical Product Specialists, software developers, data scientists, and designers, all working together to achieve our ambitious product goals. You will play a crucial role in leading and mentoring this team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.What Is RequiredBachelor's degree in Meteorology, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on data, forecasting, electricity markets, or related industries. Proven track record of successfully launching and growing products and delivering commercial outcomes.Ability to develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy.Strong drive to achieve business outcomes and meet commercial product goals.Ability to build consensus and effectively lead cross-functional teams.Passion for understanding and meeting customer needs.Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.Strong written and verbal English communication skills.We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening.Immigration-related employment benefits, for example, visa sponsorship, are not available for this position.
