At Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology, we are experiencing explosive growth, reaching 210M total subscriptions globally across our streaming product portfolio. As we continue growing across all our streaming services (Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+), we are looking for a product management leader that thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and can meet opportunities and challenges head-on.

We’re seeking a Director, Product Management for Partnerships to identify new partner solutions and enhance our existing partner solutions across our streaming services worldwide. In this highly impactful role, you’ll be working with hundreds of partners such as Verizon, Charter, and SKY to distribute our streaming services to millions of users across the globe. You will also be providing leadership to a direct team of product managers and a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, data scientists, and other specialists.

The Partnerships platform at Disney Entertainment has experienced tremendous growth - supporting over 150 countries. Yet, we’re still early on our mission to provide entertainment around the world and project significant growth ahead. We’re looking for a leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, who will take this growth ahead by embracing unconventional thinking and providing “out-of-box” ideas. Responsibilities:Define principles, vision and strategy for multiple product areas in partnerships encompassing both the front-end (customer-facing experience) and the back-end (partner API integrations).

Drive prioritization for multiple roadmaps by aligning leadership (VPs to President), and defining resources needs and team structure to maximize business success.

Execute and maintain the roadmap by working cross-functionally with members of various teams including product, engineering, finance, legal, operations, marketing, and more.

Manage high levels of complexity by collaborating with business leaders of adjacent domains (identity, devices, customer growth & acquisition, billing, etc.) to negotiate and identify trade-offs that optimize business holistically.

Define KPIs for various product categories and align them to business goals while contributing to broader set of metrics governing entire business.

Challenge the status quo, and suggest new features and enhancements that solve both tactical & strategic problems.

Be a trusted authority in the domain, being its evangelist by speaking at internal/external forums like conferences, all-hands, etc.

Build a team by identifying resource gaps, making a business case for new PMs, running interview loops, and influencing hiring decisions.

Perform as an adaptive problem solver, a creative builder, and a morale-boosting leader – filling in gaps across roles and functions as needed.

Coach and mentor direct reports, nurturing the next generation of Disney leaders.

Be a visible champion for and role model of Disney values especially while leading teams through times of change.

Basic Qualifications:12+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of successfully launching new products or platforms.

7+ years of team management experience overseeing multiple product teams.

Ability to rigorously prioritize while articulating your product roadmap across varying business teams and geographies.

Validated experience working on large, complex, distributed systems, with a sound understanding of technical architecture and infrastructure.

Demonstrated understanding of good UX and copy, with direct experience working with product designers and copywriters to provide actionable and valuable feedback.

Holds an understanding of statistics concepts (hypothesis testing, regression analysis, etc.).

Effective leader, with an ability to inspire, motivate, and lead the direct team and cross-functional partners working alongside you.

Exceptional communication skills – from small group discussions to large-scale presentations, and through strong product memos that help drive alignment across multiple teams.

Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Engineering Finance, Economics, related discipline) and/or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:MBA and/or Masters in a related field; and/or related certification/s.

Product management experience with direct-to-consumer, ecommerce, fintech and/or subscription services in domestic and/or international markets.

Experience working with large scale a/b testing.

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica CA is $202,900 to $272,100 per year, in New York City NY & Seattle WA is $212,600 to $285,100 per year, and in San Francisco CA is $222,200 to $297,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
