Job Responsibilities
  • Submit all CVs in English and be located in the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Belgium, Romania, Ukraine, South Africa, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, or Colombia.
  • Principal Biostatistician – RShiny specific responsibilities include: set up and maintain an excellent R-based computing environment, add features and fix bugs in apps, evaluate data visualization tools, integrate internal/external apps, organize user trainings, provide user support, stay current with global technical possibilities, and apply strong R/R-shiny expertise with data programming experience.
  • Lead statistical activities on projects; mentor biostatisticians; plan training and staff development; ensure timely, high-quality work; provide independent review of colleagues’ outputs.
  • Support all statistical tasks from protocol through CSR; prepare SAPs and mock-ups for tables, listings, and figures; collaborate with sponsor as required.
  • Lead or contribute to the statistical aspects of protocols, randomization inputs, and clinical study reports; create or review programming specs for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
  • Review study documentation, ensure protocol criteria are met, and support data integrity for high-quality databases and analyses.
  • Implement company objectives and develop solutions for business and operational challenges; interface with project team members and participate in internal meetings.
  • Coordinate verification and quality control of deliverables; lead complex projects and support regulatory interactions as needed; manage timelines and communicate progress and risks to management.
  • Provide statistical programming support as needed; may participate in DSMB/DMC activities as required.
  • Maintain documentation, inspection readiness, and contribute to proposals and sponsor bid defenses as part of business development; perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
Qualifications
  • Previous RShiny experience is required.
  • PhD or MS in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, or data science with strong computing/informatics emphasis.
  • At least two years of experience as a statistician in the Pharma/Biotech sector.
  • Excellent R and R-shiny knowledge; thorough experience with clinical data structures and programming.
  • Expertise in functional and object-oriented programming; knowledge of Javascript/Typescript, HTML, WebGL; experience in CUDA/GPU programming, cloud computing, GitHub, and web hosting.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; team player; fluency in English.
