The Client Master Data (CMD) team manages the flow of master data and complex data sets to help Insight track client interactions history, determine and set competitive prices to gain market share, improve the revenue of targeted marketing campaigns, and establish meaningful relationships with clients. The team uses master data to amplify the value of Insight’s existing CRM system, as well as facilitate more valuable client experiences.

The Pricing & Master Data Analyst is responsible for managing the flow of master data for Insight across EMEA, including supporting with and coordinating all client, vendor, and pricing data requirements, maintaining pricing and account data, ensuring data setups are accurately executed in a timely manner, and any service level agreements are successfully met.

The Pricing & Master Data Analyst uses master data to amplify the value of Insight’s existing CRM system, as well as facilitate more valuable client experiences by regularly reviewing, monitoring, and maintaining the master data database. They seek to resolve inconsistent data, identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, provide clarity around reporting and data mining and a consistent service to the organisation.

In addition, the Pricing & Master Data Analyst act as an ‘ambassador’ of the Client Master Data team, and provides consulting services to projects, and designs consistent processes based on master data policy.

Responsibilities
  • Execute master data/hierarchy set-ups and maintenance, and database cleansing activities.
  • Validate and process all incoming client pricing requests from the sales teams, and all client pricing agreements.
  • Perform the required analyses to ensure that any extracted data is accurate and meets the needs of the business, and also prioritise any change activity using a programme of improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support on data and pricing elements for all ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Qorus, ET).
  • Provide modelling based on dynamic data elements available in the database.
  • Analyse trends in the Master Data database.
  • Participate in cross functional team activities in order to complete initiated projects.
  • Prepare external and internal reporting for standard service level agreements.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders in order to establish the product level pricing strategy.
  • Collaborate with appropriate teams, and teammates, to prepare internal/external reporting, and to determine desired report content and parameters.
  • Develop pricing tools that are used throughout the company to respond more quickly to changing market needs and or trends.
  • Maintain pricing analytics, prepare business reports, and recommend changes to support longterm product growth.
  • Support the maintenance of material master data related to pricing attribute values.
  • Work closely with partners and product management teammates in order to maintain list pricing.
  • Establish and maintain timelines and priorities for assigned projects, systems, and applications, working across multiple initiatives.
  • Provide continuous business support to users, and also develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across all teams in the Operations function, and with business partners.

Key skills and experience required
  • Experience of working within a high performing team within a fast-paced, target-driven environment -Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience
  • High level of written and spoken English -A confident, outward-looking, proactive communicator
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) -Demonstrates good technology skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Understands general business operational processes, procedures, and issues, and how to articulate these and drive operational excellence initiatives -Possesses the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining good attention to detail and quality
  • Shows a high level of attention to detail whilst having the ability to work well under pressure, either on own initiative or as part of a team -Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Ability to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of systems capabilities, enduser’s information needs, and underlying business practices
  • A sound understanding of the processes, procedures, and issues relevant to one’s own role, ranging from in depth job knowledge, to an appreciation of the complex issues and trends
  • Demonstrates creative problem-solving abilities -Commercially astute and able to effectively communicate complex data
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build relationships -Knowledge of pricing dynamics related to the IT Industry
  • Goal oriented with a history of delivering
  • results that make a tangible different to businesses -Good numerical skills, ability to manipulate large volumes of complex data and carry out detailed analysis
  • Able to support complex system improvement with established process improvement methodologies -Continuously updates personal knowledge of industry-leading technology, learns new skills, and adapts to changes in technology
