Ashely Kate HR are pleased to be working alongside a global client on an Interim Senior Performance Manager role. 18-24 months, we are seeking a Senior Performance Manager to oversee the design, development, and implementation of a refreshed, firmwide performance management approach across all business areas and jurisdictions. This role will be instrumental in embedding a high-performance culture, aligning with our people strategy and values, and incorporating industry best practices.

Based in the Bristol office 2-3 days a week, salary £66k - £81,400 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end development of a new, business-led performance management approach, ensuring alignment with firmwide objectives, values, and market insights.
Work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), senior leaders, and wider business stakeholders to ensure understanding, adoption, and engagement with the new performance model.
Develop a consistent approach to providing feedback, driving continuous improvement and embedding a culture of real-time feedback.
Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) on goal-setting initiatives and capability building for leaders, while working with Reward teams to align performance outcomes with compensation frameworks.
Lead the design, testing, and implementation of a Workday-integrated performance management system, ensuring a seamless digital experience for employees and managers. Pilot and refine new performance rating approaches, ensuring they support business needs before full-scale implementation.
Develop and communicate a structured performance framework, ensuring clarity around behaviours, expectations, and career development across diverse business areas.
Embed DEIB principles and employee wellbeing into the performance management framework to create an inclusive and supportive workplace.
Manage ongoing performance processes, including communications, guidance materials, and timeline coordination while driving continuous improvements.
Define and track key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of the new approach, ensuring measurable business impact.

About You:

Strong experience in performance management strategy design and execution within a complex, global, matrix organisation (professional services or legal sector preferred).
Proven ability to work with senior leadership teams to shape and deliver HR strategies that drive commercial success.
Experience leading large-scale HR transformation projects, influencing key stakeholders, and embedding cultural and behavioural change.
Skilled in engaging with senior leaders, HRBPs, and centres of excellence to create aligned, high-impact HR solutions.
Strong understanding of external market trends in performance management, employee experience, and talent development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages and drive engagement across a diverse, global organisation.
Experience working with HR systems (Workday preferred) and using data analytics to shape HR decision-making.
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is focused on delivering measurable impact.
