We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Profisee Architect to join our dynamic data team. Reporting to the Head of Data Management, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing the MDM architecture roadmap. Your expertise in designing and implementing MDM solutions using Profisee will be pivotal as you deliver Analytical MDM initially, progressing to Operational MDM in later stages. As the steward of the MDM model, you will ensure the uniformity, accuracy, and consistency of the enterprise’s shared master data assets, upholding the Single Source of Truth (SSOT) principle for all decision-making processes across the organisation.

What you’ll do as a MDM Profisee Architect

Architecting a Scalable and Secure MDM Solution:

Architect a scalable and secure Master Data Management (MDM) solution using Profisee on
Azure, ensuring the consistency and accuracy of the organisation’s shared master data.
Maintain the integrity of the MDM model, ensuring that it aligns with the company’s data management strategies and business objectives
Defining Data Standards and Creating Data Models:

Define data standards and create data models that align with the organisation’s business processes and IT infrastructure.
Develop comprehensive data models that support enterprise-wide business needs and objectives, ensuring high-quality data management.
Maintaining and Optimising Match Rules, Data Quality Metrics, and Data Governance Policies:

Maintain and optimise match rules, data quality metrics, and data governance policies within the Profisee platform.
Ensure alignment with data governance standards and oversee data validation and quality assurance processes.
Driving Continuous Improvement in Data Architecture:

Drive continuous improvement in the MDM architecture by adopting innovative technologies and methodologies.
Keep the MDM architecture up-to-date with emerging trends in data management, ensuring it evolves with the organisation’s needs.
Golden Master Record Creation:

Establish procedures for data matching and survivorship to ensure the creation and maintenance of a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) master record for all data assets.
Ensure data precision and consistency across all platforms, enabling reliable decision-making.
Data Model Maintenance:

Develop and sustain a comprehensive data model that aligns with business processes and supports the organisation’s objectives.
Monitor and update the data model regularly to ensure it remains relevant and effective in supporting business needs.
Data Relationships and Workflow:

Define the relationships between data entities and establish efficient workflows for data management.
Streamline data management and operations by defining and optimising data models and workflows.
Data Hierarchies and Schema Implementation:

Architect data hierarchies and apply the master data schema to the MDM system for efficient data management.
Ensure that data hierarchies and schemas are properly implemented for accurate and consistent data governance.
Collaborating with IT, Business Units, and Stakeholders:

Collaborate closely with IT teams to implement the data architecture, ensuring integration with existing systems and technologies.
Work with business analysts, data stewards, and stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that MDM strategy aligns with organisational goals.
Supporting Data Quality:

Implement data governance practices and data validation processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data in the enterprise data platform.
Collaborate with the Data Governance Team and Data Stewards to monitor data quality and ensure compliance with data standards.
Monitoring MDM Services and Components on Azure:

Monitor MDM services and components on Azure to ensure high performance, throughput, and availability.
Ensure that the MDM infrastructure remains operational and meets performance expectations.
Staying Well-informed of Industry Trends:

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data architecture and MDM.
Incorporate innovative solutions into the organisation’s data platform to maintain competitive advantage and operational efficiency.
Base location – Hybrid – Clearwater Court, Reading.

Working pattern – 36 hours, Monday to Friday.

What you should bring to the role:

Essential Experience:

Proven experience in designing and implementing MDM data architectures in a hub-and-spoke model, with hands-on experience in Profisee.
Extensive experience in Master Data Management (MDM), including creating a consistent definition of data entities and establishing a single point of reference for all data.
Strong experience in data governance, including data quality, data lineage, and data privacy.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, agile data projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems, and experience with data integration tools and ETL processes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, including the implementation of data services.
Essential Technical Skills & Qualifications:

In-depth understanding of the Profisee platform and its features, including data modelling, business rules, and user experience configuration.
Strategic data management skills, including developing policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
Strong technical proficiency in data architecture, Big Data, Data Lake, and Lakehouse storage solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Desirable Experience:

Experience within the water industry is advantageous.
Desirable Technical Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in SQL scripting for querying and manipulating data.
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Databricks, Spark, and Python.
