We have an exciting opportunity for three Master Data Analysts to join the Finance team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Our Finance team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

Our Operational Finance Data Team plays a critical function to manage, control and maintain all our vendor, customer and contractual data which underpins our strategic vision to be 100% compliant 100% of the time.

Our Master Data Analysts sit within the Operational Finance Systems Team which forms part of our wider Operational Finance Area including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Where you fit in!

As our Master Data Analyst with SAP Ariba you will;

  • Create, maintain and enhance Ariba Master Data to high data quality standards, including creating and amending Contract Workspaces, Qualifying and Disqualifying suppliers and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • Analysing and enhancing Ariba master data to support business processes and improve end user experience.
  • Undertaking regular data cleansing and archiving activities to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access. I.e., archiving and closing expired contracts.
  • Identify risk within Ariba Master Data and propose recommendations to mitigate these risks.
  • Actively identify areas for data quality improvements and can confidently present and propose recommendations to resolve and improve data quality.
  • Acts as liaison between suppliers and/or end users to co-ordinate/resolve data issues.
  • Providing training and support to internal and external users on master data management within Ariba.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Comprehensive understanding of SAP S4 HANA and SAP Ariba.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships across the team and departments to drive best practice in data management.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory guidelines and ensures the processes are amended as required.
  • Actively analysing data and delivering insights to enhance data quality, facilitate informed decision-making, and optimise business processes.
  • Actively identifying outdated Ariba data and acquiring the latest information from suppliers to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with standards.
  • Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures for master data processes, particularly when system changes are implemented.
  • Working with process SME's to agree the data types required to address specific business challenges.
  • Strong demonstrable skills with Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365.
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the tenacity to independently solve problems.
  • Commercially focused with a demonstratable track record.
