Your Role

You will be joining our dynamic and growing team of data architects and data engineers, united by a shared mission to deliver end-to-end data platform architecture and engineering capabilities aligned to strategic objectives of the business.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Platform Architecture and Engineering Consultant with exposure to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud-based data solutions, data engineering, platform architecture, and DevOps practices.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the following areas:

  • Data Platform Architecture & Design - Lead the design and development of end-to-end data platforms that are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and support both operational and analytical workloads, leveraging cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Hybrid Cloud & Data Migration Solutions - Implement cloud-based hybrid data architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), migrate legacy data systems.
  • Developing innovative solutions: Lead the creation of PoCs and MVPs for Data platforms to host advanced analytics & AI solutions focusing on the needs and objectives of the enterprise.
  • DevOps & Automation - Build and automate data pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and deployments using DevOps practices, CI/CD, and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Data Platform Strategy & Designing - Develop data strategy for enterprise data platform, create architecture artifacts, roadmaps, and communication plan for stakeholders.
  • Driving the impact with high standards: Drive the development of user-centered design well supported with storytelling to deliver impactful data platform solutions. Follow the data architecture best practices through standard frameworks e.g. Togaf, DAMA, while ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

As part of your role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development - Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution - Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development - Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, including leadership and technology certifications etc.

Your Profile

Requirements for eligibility:

  • At least 10+ years of experience in data technologies and consulting.
  • At least one intermediate level Cloud certification(s) in one of the popular cloud platforms.
  • At least 6+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based data platform architectures in at least one of the popular cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with networking, security, and identity management in cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, ARM Templates, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager).
  • Good understanding of ETL, ELT processes, and modern architecture patterns e.g. Data Fabric, Data Mesh.
  • Experience with migration to cloud data stores.
  • Exposure to hybrid and multi-cloud strategies and solutions.
  • Experience in a consulting firm and/or significant consulting background with effective stakeholder management to address business challenges.
  • Experience of supporting and participating in the commercial cycle, including defining project scope and agreeing on budgets.

Desirable:

  • Experience with DevOps and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with cloud cost management tools and practices for cost optimization.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
