Adecco are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join South Gloucestershire Council.

Based in Yate
£27.28 per hour
Monday - Friday, full time
Hybrid - you can be based from home most of the time and go to the office as and when needed
This is a 6 month temporary contract initiallyThe Council are looking for someone with an LLB, Law Degree or CILEx Level 6 Diploma in Law and Practice.

The right candidate will have good attention to detail - as apart of the role you will be asked to compare policies to legal acts and make sure they match up.

This role could be for you, if you are straight out of University and looking to get some experience before you go for your training contract!

You do not need to have data protection law experience! Data Protection law is an area of growth so perfect for someone looking to get some additional experience.

DUTIES:

Working across the council's departments and with its partners and stakeholders, offering expert advice around information governance, data protection governance and privacy for the council, promoting best practice and compliance requirements.
Updating and maintaining the suite of standards and policies (internal and external) required to ensure its on-going compliance with all aspects of data protection and information governance.
Liaising with departmental representatives, information asset owners, ICT security and assistants across the council, you will support with the systems in operation to ensure a consistent and effective approach to data governance.If you have the skills for this role, please apply and a Recruitment Consultant will be in touch.
