Job Introduction

Are you an experienced HR Administrator looking to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic organisation? We are seeking a proactive and well-organised professional to join our People Services team on a 6-month fixed-term basis.

In this role, you will be the friendly face manning the People Services Helpdesk (shared HR inbox), efficiently managing core HR administrative tasks and ensuring our HR system (IRIS Cascade) is accurate and up to date. Your attention to detail and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities will be vital in supporting the smooth operation of our HR functions.

You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, providing support throughout the entire colleague lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, and managing a wide range of HR queries and processes. Your expertise will help maintain accurate people data, facilitate HR activities, and contribute to overall colleague experience.

Our team typically works in the office 1-2 days a week, making Monday a key collaborative day for the People Services team.

Role Responsibility

  • Offer first line support and advice to colleagues regarding a variety of people related queries, such as contractual, policy and process-related employment matters.

  • Action and resolve all people services transactions and tasks promptly, accurately, and confidentially.

  • Maintain precise people data in our HR system, IRIS Cascade (PeopleFirst).

  • Carry out audits to maintain data integrity.

  • Generate people metrics by running reports in PeopleFirst to support data analysis.

  • Assist the People Operations team with a diverse range of HR tasks, including policy updates, document management and administration.

  • Foster strong relationships with people leaders and collaborate effectively across various offices and departments.

  • Organise and manage colleague personnel files and ensure timely distribution of HR-related documents.

  • Contribute to monthly and annual HR processes such as payroll, salary reviews, and benefits.

  • Contribute to project work by ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

  • Comfortable navigating systems and software

    It would be an added bonus if you also have:

  • Knowledge of current employment laws, best practices, and contemporary HR approaches

  • Familiarity with employee relations approaches

  • Educational background, such as a graduate degree or at least Level 3 CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualification or studying towards

  • Demonstrated hands-on administrative experience within HR

  • Experience with the IRIS Cascade HR system (PeopleFirst)
