Insurance Business Analyst 

Pro currently seeking We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic Operational Performance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for eliciting and documenting technical business requirements across all business units, deploying change management techniques, and identifying areas for process optimisation. This role requires strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, with knowledge of the insurance sector.

The role is permanent and will be in Pros UK office location in Gloucester and operates a hybrid working model. For the right experience we may be able to consider a fully remote role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit and document technical business requirements across all business units using a variety of techniques, including designing and hosting workshops.
  • Prioritise requirements, assess risks, highlight dependencies, and collaborate with the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Deploy change management techniques across the business, engage stakeholders, and obtain buy-in.
  • Identify sub-standard processes and areas for optimisation, utilising a variety of methods including lean principles.
  • Draft cost/benefit analyses and business cases with strong commercial awareness.
  • Plan and prioritise projects aligned with delivering effective business value, managing multiple concurrent change activities.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, and deliver presentations.
  • Develop direct reports and manage junior business analysts and data analysts.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the insurance lifecycle and the Lloyd’s market.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, delivering business analysis in a senior lead/consultancy capacity.
  • Technical business analysis skills and effective stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience in system implementation and test case creation.
  • Experience in a client-facing role.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Awareness of London market policy administration platforms (AdvantageGo Subscribe, Sequel, Morning Data, Guidewire, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, DevOps (ticket tracking), Power Platform, and reporting tools (PowerBI).
