Housing Strategy Project Manager
North West London 
£31.47 per hour umbrella 
6 month ongoing contract 
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (hybrid)

Role Purpose 

To develop, implement, monitor and review strategies and policies for the Housing department in support of corporate, community and regional objectives; these will be integrated, evidence based and effective and meet the authority’s statutory obligations.
To achieve effective housing strategy and policy related consultation, communications and publicity to key housing stakeholders.
To be responsible for examining new legislation, regulations and good practice relating to the housing service, briefing senior managers and members on the implications and options for service development
Responsibilities 

Maintaining and supporting a suite of housing strategies & policies that support the Housing Service.
Building effective partnerships with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the Greater London Authority (GLA), London Councils, sub-regional partners (West London local authorities), stakeholders including residents, statutory and voluntary organisations and registered providers.
Contributing towards the management of expenditure relating to the work of the team, including the development and review of funding profiles, and financial analysis as required.
Performance managing external consultants, contractors and internal project teams as required.
Providing a professional and inclusive advice service and liaising with colleagues in the Council and partner organisations on housing related strategies, policy issues and projects.
Requirements

Demonstrable experience of conducting qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to inform either a policy or strategy, a change in service delivery or academic paper.
Experience working in a housing association or council 
Demonstrable experience of leading a range of projects, using appropriate project management techniques, to deliver project objectives, effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
Experience in housing management is required to be shortlisted
