THE ROLE

At Carwow, our Marketing Team has had incredible success leveraging Marketing Analytics, insights and data; in fact, we have been shortlisted for multiple awards in 2024 for our work in this space. This role is an opportunity to work amongst a very talented and high performing team, that is an integral part to the Marketing organisation - enabling Carwow’s sustainable and data-driven growth.

As the Head of Marketing Analytics, you will lead a team of 7 analysts, and a long-standing agency relationship, while also helping the team scale efforts for an ever-growing business that is taking on a number of new initiatives post-fundraise. A core aim during your tenure is to realise the value of a recent Martech investment in a Customer Data Platform, as well as embedding a Marketing Capital Allocation strategy through multiple measurement methods and an alignment with our budgeting process.

Managing multiple, and complex stakeholder relationships with very different interests and needs will be critical for this role, as well as a focus on continued development of team members and an emphasis on team culture given the fast expansion of the team and the wider business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead a team of 7 analysts, plus a long-standing agency team of 2-3 extra part time analysts. 5 of these roles are Direct Reports. Matrix manage our Marketing Data Engineers and a Data Scientist who officially sit outside of the team, but are very much part of the squad. Ensure continued success of BAU support for all our Marketing stakeholders across all channels by enabling the team to overcome blockers, obtain buy-in and manage conflicting priorities. Define and enable the delivery of Marketing Analytics quarterly OKRs and goals, with the team. Refine and deliver on 2 core initiatives that we are currently building up towards: Customer Data Platform implementation and utilisation, through strong data design, solid governance and speedy execution Marketing Capital Allocation process and execution that enables optimal budgeting across our Marketing Mix, utilising MMM (in-house) and on-going incrementality tests

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Marketing Analytics specialism: A background in Marketing Analytics, with a passion and deep knowledge of various Marketing channels (including digital and ATL). Particular familiarity with Google channels and platforms is a bonus. Experience in embedding Marketing Capital Allocation into business budgeting; specific experience with MMMs and incrementality is essential. Experience of utilising and/or implementing Martech - esp a Customer Data Platform is desirable. Technically strong: Strong SQL (other programming languages such as Python are a bonus but not essential). Strong analytical thinking and commercial mindset. Experienced leader: Experience leading large teams, and therefore comfortable not being involved in the detail/ day-to-day for the majority of the team, but also able to support more junior members of the team more closely. Previously worked closely with/ managed Data Engineers. Strong interpersonal skills and managing multiple and complex stakeholders. Willing to challenge the status quo, with relevant value driving ideas. Passionate about team development and cultivating a strong culture of collaboration and a happy, healthy work environment
